
GCA Trick Titles
Below, you’ll find the requirements for earning GCA trick titles and general submission guidelines.

REGULAR Trick Titles
Designed to test important skills at varying levels of difficulty.
Trick Dog Level 1
Demonstrate 15 tricks from the tricks glossary of any level.
Tricks do not need to be performed perfectly. You may use a lure for up to 40% of the tricks to help your dog succeed.
PRE-REQUISITES: None!
MASTER Trick Titles
Optional titles that require twice as many tricks as the Reguar level titles.
GRAND MASTER Trick Titles
Optional titles that require three times as many tricks as the Reguar level titles.
CHAMPION Titles
Optional titles that require a series of skills across all levels to demonstrate excellence and mastery.
Trick Champion
Showcase a variety of tricks to prove that your dog has what it takes to be a Champion!
You may use a hand gesture to guide the dog, but no luring with toys or treats is allowed. Tricks may be reused to meet multiple requirements.
1. DISTANCE
- Perform 4 tricks with at least two being Level 3 or higher from at least 10ft away.
2. DISTRACTION
- Perform 5 tricks with at least two being Level 3 or higher in a novel environment
3. DURATION
- Perform 1 trick that is sustained for at least 5 seconds that is Level 2 or higher.
- Perform 1 trick that is sustained for at least 10 seconds that is Level 2 or higher.
- Perform 1 trick that is sustained for at least 30 seconds that is Level 2 or higher.
4. DIFFICULTY
- Perform 1 behavior chain with a single cue.
- Perform 3 tricks of any level with silent cues only.
- Finish off remaining Level 4 tricks if applicable, completing 7 total.
5. CREATIVITY
- Perform at least 2 tricks utilizing an unusual prop of some kind.
- Perform 2 unique tricks that are not on our current list of tricks - be creative!
